Locke + Co was founded by best friends Rick Talley and Owen Locke — sixth-generation Coloradans who share a passion for fermentation. Locke’s moonshining creds date back multiple generations, and he began his love affair with home-brewing when he was just 15. That nearly lifelong passion, combined with Talley’s own whiskey ambitions, is what led the duo to launch their distillery in 2010.

Nose Crisp and airy, opens with aspen notes that invoke the earthy, lemongrass, fig scents of the forest during the fall.
Palate Anchored by an earthiness with some tangy raisins and spicy rye, it’s sweet on the palate with more verdant notes, in addition to spice, toffee, and vanilla.
Finish Spicy and warm, with an almost menthol sweetness in the mouth and throat.
