5% malted barley
Locke + Co was founded by best friends Rick Talley and Owen Locke — sixth-generation Coloradans who share a passion for fermentation. Locke’s moonshining creds date back multiple generations, and he began his love affair with home-brewing when he was just 15. That nearly lifelong passion, combined with Talley’s own whiskey ambitions, is what led the duo to launch their distillery in 2010.
Boasting the tag line “A taste like none other,” Locke + Co holds true to its word with its Aspen Aged Rye Whiskey, which is crafted in small barrels enhanced with native charred aspen wood discs. The result is a unique flavor that’s as smooth and welcoming as Locke + Co’s commitment to family, friendship, and a fantastic 90 proof spirit.
Although rye alone makes good company, Locke + Co Aspen Aged Rye Whiskey goes down even better with companions. The only way to truly pay homage to the homegrown libation is to clink a glass with a group of your closest friends.
5% malted barley
Crisp and airy, opens with aspen notes that invoke the earthy, lemongrass, fig scents of the forest during the fall.
Anchored by an earthiness with some tangy raisins and spicy rye, it’s sweet on the palate with more verdant notes, in addition to spice, toffee, and vanilla.
Spicy and warm, with an almost menthol sweetness in the mouth and throat.

The best way to drink an aged rye is your way, of course. But Locke + Co owners Rick Talley and Owen Locke suggest you mix it in a cocktail called the Summer Blinker:
2 ounces Locke + Co. Aspen Aged Rye
½ ounce fresh grapefruit juice (not pink)
1 bar spoon raspberry syrup
Grapefruit slice for garnish
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled rocks glass and garnish with a grapefruit slice.
Kidding. We just need to see some ID. Are you 21 or older?
